About the IDFC FIRST Bank Engineering Scholarship 2025-29 The IDFC FIRST Bank Engineering Scholarship 2025-29 is a flagship initiative by IDFC FIRST Bank that extends financial support to engineering students from humble family backgrounds. The program provides a scholarship of up to ₹1 lakh per year over the four years of engineering study. 

By easing the financial burden, this scholarship aims to nurture talent, encourage academic excellence, and empower deserving students to pursue their aspirations in the field of engineering.

 About IDFC FIRST Bank IDFC FIRST Bank was founded in December 2018 after the merger of IDFC Bank and Capital FIRST. The bank provides a range of financial solutions to individuals, small businesses, and corporations.

Eligibility

Deadline:30-Sep-2025
  • Applicants must be Indian citizens.
  • Open to students currently enrolled in the first year of their B.Tech or B.E. program.
  • Candidates must have secured admission in one of the eligible colleges (Click here to refer to the list of eligible colleges).
  • The annual family income must not exceed INR 6 lakhs.
  • Students should not be receiving any other scholarship or tuition fee waiver for their engineering course.
  • Children or immediate family members of employees from IDFC FIRST Bank or Buddy4Study are not eligible to apply.

Note: Students pursuing a Diploma course, part-time program, distance learning, dual-degree course in engineering, or student exchange programs are not eligible.


Benefits

A scholarship of INR 1 Lakh per year for up to four years will be awarded to students who are selected. 
Note: 

  • The scholarship covers the actual annual fee or INR 1,00,000 per year, whichever is lower.
  • Continuity is subject to meeting the renewal criteria
Documents
  • The applicants are requested to provide the following documents:
  • Birth Certificate
  • Admission proof (including the name of the institution, admission year, and batch)
  • Copy of fee receipt
  • Disability certificate (If applicable)
  • Income Proof (Any one)
    • Income certificate issued by a relevant government authority (Tehsildar or Magistrate)
    • Intimation under section 143(1) document of earning member
